"What are phyto-dermocosmetics?"
This concept, new in the field of cosmetics, covers three notions: phytotherapy, dermatology and cosmetics.

PHYTOTHERAPY:
Phytotherapy, which uses plants to fight against disease, is one of the oldest therapeutic methods: the first persons treated by phytotherapy were Chinese. All societies, ancient or modern, have a plant medicine. History and ethnology thus show that the use of plants by mankind goes back to the mists of time, to the oldest civilisations. The first people to become interested were the Chinese, the Greeks, the Arabs and the Romans, right back in the centuries before Jesus Christ. Then, in later times, scientists deepened their knowledge of the plant world. It was in the nineteenth century that they really discovered the principle active ingredients responsible for the curative properties of plants. These days, phytotherapy is recognised as a medicine in its own right by the Ministry for Health. It is founded on the scientific knowledge of plants, their harmlessness and their therapeutic value having been demonstrated experimentally. Phytotherapy takes advantage of all the elements of plants: the roots and the rhizomes, gathered during the dormant period, before vegetation begins to revive. It also uses the bark of trunks and branches taken from trees or shrubs, and leaves and stems collected, like the flowers, at the time of flowering. The fruits and berries are harvested at maturity. Substances such as gums and resins can also be collected from plants in situ.
DERMATOLOGY:
Dermatology is a specialist field of medicine that relates to the skin. Originally, dermatology only dealt with skin diseases. Nowadays, in response to demand, dermatology more and more relates to the aesthetic and anti-ageing treatment of patients.
COSMETICS:
Archaeological discoveries show that prehistoric man knew how to find and prepare pigments of mineral origin and, after having blended them into glycerides, used them to paint the walls of caves and decorate their bodies. The fact of painting the body was both for decorative and magical protection purposes. Later, the remains left in the Middle East by ancient civilisations indicate the constant use of cosmetics. Sumerians, Babylonians, Hebrews and Egyptians used them for magical and ritual purposes, medical or decorative, in any case in the highest categories of the social hierarchy. Our ancestors therefore very quickly learned the benefits of using natural products to care for and protect their bodies. And there is no better remedy than the use of plants to protect your skin while remaining in harmony with its natural equilibrium.
PHYTODERMOCOSMETICS:
Phytodermocosmetics make science and nature available to you for the health and beauty of your skin. The use of plants in cosmetics has a real advantage: their main active ingredients act effectively and deeply on the health of the skin with an unbelievable tolerance, minimising the risks of allergy as much as possible. It is a new concept, precursor of the dermocosmetics of tomorrow, offering innovative products that create harmony between the nature of your skin and the treatments we offer you.
